25 years ago I qualified as a Physiotherapist . I noticed that to really help clients in pain, also needed to help with other issues that interfered with getting better. Sometimes that was stress and not sleeping well, for others it was trying to find the time to look after themselves or lacking motivation. So I brought in health coaching strategies to overcome this and get my clients back on track. Then in 2007 I started working with a Hypnotherapist in a Pain Clinic in Sheffield. It opened my eyes to how Hypnotherapy not only helped with persistent pain but also its potential for helping my clients with the stress, anxiety and so many of the other issues that troubled them. I then started to combine all that I had learned as a Physiotherapist and Health Coach with Hypnotherapy. The Happy Side- Effect was sustainable and long-lasting changes to living well , where " The Whole is Greater than the Sum of the Parts".
Hypnotherapy has now become my go to tool too - to live well.

Hypnotherapy uses visual imagery and relaxation techniques alongside movement and massage. Movements that are painful or avoided because of fear of pain become easier to perform, more flowing and less threatening.
I use combinations of easy movement and relaxation with hypnosis for rehearsal of pain-free movement,
Areas of the body that are sore and sensitive as occurs in persistent pain are often eased.
